Can Görkem is currently a graduate student at the Photography Department of MSGSU, where he is continuing his education and creating new stories. He was was born in Muş in 1989.

He spent his childhood immersed in different cultures in different regions of Turkey.

Between 2008 and 2010, he produced socially oriented documentary and portrait photography with a focus on labour and workers.

In 2011, he began his studies at the Photography Department of Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University.

In his works, the artist mainly focuses on the subcultures of the society he is a part of and continues to create stories by observing life in both urban and rural environments.

His stories have been featured in numerous group exhibitions, festivals, and printed and digital publications. Some of the exhibitions and publications he has participated in include Mamut Art Project, Istanbul Photography Festival, 212 Photography Istanbul, Istanbul Photobook Festival and Calling Mag.
