Anna Shpakova, Belarus’ta doğdu. Şu an Moskova’da yaşamaktadır.
Moskova Devlet Üniversitesi, Psikoloji Fakültesi, Sanat Psikolojisi ve Psikoloanaliz Bölümünden mezun olmuştur. Bitirme projesini savaş ve savaş fotoğrafçıları üzerine yapmıştır. Moskova’daki çeşitli dergilerin (Afisha, Ogoniok, Snob) fotoğraf yöneticisidir. Rusya Bienalindeki sergiler dahil olmak üzere, Rusya ve uluslar arası alanda birçok serginin küratörüdür. Paris düzenlenen “Russia Photoquai 2011″‘de komiserlik yapmıştır. Rusya ve diğer ülkelerdeki çok sayıda genç fotoğrafçıya danışmanlık yapmaktadır. “British higher School of Art and Design”‘ Fotoğraf Bölümünde tasarımcıdır. Rusya’daki Foundation of Photojournalism Development” kuruluşunun kurucularındandır. Günümüzde Moskova’daki “Leica Akademie”nin sanat yönetmenliğini yapmaktadır.
